Case Study - EnRG™ G2 Portable Power Station in outback Australia

Warramunga Elder Norm resides in a community on the outskirts of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory. With thanks to the dedicated work of Dr Simon Quilty, Norm became the first Indigenous Australian on a prepaid NT Power and Water meter to have solar installed. We delivered Norm a self-install EnRG™ G2 3kWh  battery system to run his home each evening when the sun isn't shining, give him back-up during a blackout, and take it bush when he went camping with family.

As ‘luck’ would have it, that very evening the whole of Tennant Creek blacked out reportedly for some six hours with a generator failure. Norm plugged in his EnRG™ G2 and instantly become the only home in his community with the lights on. The local kids soon arrived to play with the PlayStation and the parents gathered around for a BBQ.

Electricity supply can be cheaply stabilised with the addition of small energy storage devices.
