EDEA ENERGY
EDEA’s roots are in Australian defence battery development. In 2022, EDEA joined an Australian industry project to develop lithium-ion battery systems for military vehicles.
Today, EDEA’s work spans defence, engineering and critical infrastructure. Our humanitarian focus is the rapid deployment of energy, water and heat solutions for people affected by conflict, displacement, disaster and remoteness.
01 / HOW WE WORK
The EDEA federation model connects independent country companies through shared relationships, technology access and expertise. It is designed for local ownership, financing and operation, with commercial decisions made close to customers and communities.
The pathway begins with product supply to establish demand. Local capital can then support assembly and, where commercially justified, contract manufacturing. The aim is to build local skills and retain value in the markets being served.
Product licences and supplier agreements are held by the relevant companies, facilitated through the network. Pricing is a local commercial decision. Each company’s ownership, responsibilities and product rights are established through its own arrangements.
